Root Canal Treatment- A Boon for Dental Patients!

Then be cautious you might be suffering from decay of your tooth. Teeth are very important part of our body. It looks horrible if one smiles but does not have teeth or some teeth are missing. Patients should not be scared very much. Root canal treatment is not a rocket science. Decay of teeth happens due to infection and this is easily curable. 

These are the steps by which dentists treat the patients :-

1. Doing X-ray

To locate the origin of the decay is first thing. Dentist can take x-ray to find whether there is requirement of the root canal or not.

2. Giving  anesthesia to patient

Anesthesia is given to the affected tooth. Pain is just very less to the common belief while treating. It is not more painful then filling.

3. Pulpectomy of deceased tooth -

The pulp of a tooth is the inside soft tissue or “nerve” of the tooth. An opening is made and the infected pulp is removed from the tooth.

4. Filling of the canal

After removing the pulp this empty root is filled and sealed off by the cement.


Why root canal treatment is good ?
  • If you are bearing constant pain and immortal difficulties whether you are eating something or not.
  • It is possibility that your decaying tooth can be fixed if timely inspected and cared.
  • Original teeth are always better than those duplicates.
  • Why should patient go to through bone chilling tooth pulling trauma when your tooth can still be fixed.

This kind of repaired tooth can last long and if taken good care of, it can last lifelong. The problem creates when we avoid cleaning and brushing of the teeth regularly. We should brush our teeth twice a day and floss at least once in a day or as your dentist prescribes. Success rate is very high of root canals. We should visit out dentist within regular intervals. Cleaning and inspection after regular interval by the dentist play crucial role in longevity of your teeth. Patient should avoid chewing hard food. Some hard food can cause breaking of the repaired tooth.
